Medinet Text-Based Report Header
Reports are provided in two formats: text-based and HL-7. For HL-7 reports, the text format is appended to the HL-7 code in order to provide a benchmark for quality assurance testing.
Vendors of EMR systems can use these identifiers to attach a text report to a particular physician and patient.
A header line in the following format precedes text-based reports:

Notes:
- The sequence number in F1.2 is unique to each sending lab.
Each report page has a different number.
- If 'PRINT' appears in F1.4, the report will print automatically on the printer. This is used for system-wide messages and other similar announcements that do not contain specific patient information.
